Education, Career and Background: 

 

I am a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist who works in Independent Practice High Wycombe and surrounding areas.  I have been practising as a Speech and Language Therapist since 2002.  I have extensive experience in working in the NHS in the community clinic, in special schools, and in Early Years complex needs, using a variety of  approaches in therapy, including Makaton signing, PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), Talk Tools, Nuffield Dyspraxia Programme, AAC (Alternative and Augmentitive communication), Intensive Interaction,  etc.  I have worked independently since 2011.

 

I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Cleft Palate and Speech Disorders.

Memberships include: the Health Professions Council (HPC), Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP).

I have experience working with the following speech and language difficulties: Language delay or disorder; difficulties with speech sounds including auditory discrimination of speech sounds, phonology & articulation delay or disorder, verbal dyspraxia and Cleft palate associated speech disorders; Social communication difficulties; Listening and Attention difficulties that impact on understanding and use of language;  Sensory feeding difficulties, and speech and language difficulties related to Autistic Spectrum, Cerebral Palsy, Learning Difficulties, Global Developmental Delay and other Complex Needs.
